Veronica Parra, MSW

Director of San Antonio Family Outreach Center for Arms OF HOPE

Veronica partners with SA Hope Center as the Director of San Antonio Family Outreach Center for Arms of Hope. She has been at SA Hope Center since 2018.  She provides case management services, meets with clients where they are at, and works alongside them to achieve their monthly goals. I also provide home visits to clients who have no reliable transportation. I am honored to pray with them through their crisis and offer a safe environment that brings hope and success which equals self-sustaining individuals/families.

Veronica received her Masters of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake in 2015. She has worked for HEB for 25 years and currently working part-time on the weekends soon retiring from HEB. Veronica has two children who I am proud of raising as a mother. She has a young adult son and daughter who are her pride and joy. Veronica was born and raised on the West side of San Antonio, TX (two blocks from SA Hope Center. As a child her family faced hardship and they reached out to SA Hope Center where they were provided food that was needed during their crisis situation. She still remembers walking down the street and up the hill with her mother to receive food for their family. Now,  she is able to give back to her community by offering respect and kindness just like SA Hope Center once did when she was a child. Anything is possible with God, hard work, compassion, and determination.

Veronica enjoys listening to music, spending time with her children and family, and reading books about her Mexican-American culture.
