Unsheltered Services

The SA Hope Center works downtown, alongside partners, to holistically enhance the lives of unsheltered individuals and families to become secure and increasingly sustainable on a long-term basis.

The SA Hope Center partners with First Presbyterian Church downtown as part of their Kingdom Restoration Lab (KRL). This collaborative effort alongside other partners,  together provides wrap around services and support for the San Antonio unsheltered population. SA Hope Center focuses on bringing a relational and tailored case management and programs to empower them on a journey to stability.

The SA Hope Center team builds a relationship with individuals and families who are experiencing poverty, crisis and homelessness with the purpose of fostering dignity and trust so that we can help them overcome barriers and achieve stability. We work with individuals to build a customized plan to address the root causes homelessness by helping them access housing, mental and physical health care, employment, financial literacy, and more. Our approach is holistic. Treating someone with dignity inspires motivation for life change, mental health care is critical to those seeking a flourishing life, and obtaining housing must be paired with a long-term financial stability plan.

In 2024, a HUD grant begins that will help the SA Hope Center provide expanded programming downtown for three years. This funding will expand the team and services to provide case management and connections to permanent housing in collaboration with SAMMinistries, Haven for Hope and Close to Home
