Our Mission

At the SA Hope Center, we love people well by empowering them to meet their needs through in-depth case management and wrap-around social services.

Our Story

Becoming a non-profit

The SA Hope Center, previously known as the Christian Hope Resource Center (SA Hope Center), began as a benevolent ministry of Oak Hills Church after members of the community would go to the church seeking help with food and clothing. The ministry grew so much that they decided to purchase a building to expand their efforts. This resulted in moving to the Westside in 1999 and becoming its own 501(c)3 non-profit in 2001.

Largest Food Pantries

From 2001 until 2014, the SA Hope Center provided one of the cities largest food pantries, as well as a children's ministry, Bible studies, and more.

Relationally Based

In 2014, the SA Hope Center took a shift in its program focus from mainly food pantry to becoming relationally-based and addressing the root causes of generational poverty.

New name, new locations

In 2019, the SA Christian Hope Resource Center (SA Hope Center) became the SA Hope Center and expanded to a total of four locations in partnership with many area nonprofits and church organizations. Currently the SA Hope Center has two locations and has a case manager on site a partner location.
