Brenda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). She started at OLLU in August of 2017 while pregnant with her first child, Mateo, and decided to pursue her master’s degree immediately after. She didn’t let her pregnancy stop her the first time, and she continued her studies even when she became pregnant with her daughter, Celeste. Brenda graduated in May of 2021. She is the first person in her family to earn a college degree. Brenda has demonstrated to herself and those around her that achieving your educational goals is possible when you set your mind to it. All you need is faith, and the Lord will help you through it all.d will help you through it all.
