Christopher Parker is a father, a husband, and a man of God. He and his wife, April, have six children; Saysha, CJ, Cyrus, Kymana, Imani, and Akira. They keep them very busy. Chris has been serving the community since he received services from the SA Hope Center as a client 10 years ago. Now Chris serves at the SA Hope Center as both the Security Host of our downtown location and as chairman of our Hope Heals Coalition. In addition to serving the community and spending most of his time with his family, Chris runs his own landscaping company on the weekends. He believes God has directed him to the SA Hope Center with the desire to help others. What inspires him to continue forward is scripture like Matthew 6: 1 -4 (NIV). 

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.  But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
