Close To Home Homelink

Homelink is San Antonio and Bexar County’s local Coordinated Entry System – a uniform, community-wide approach to connect persons who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness to housing resources.           Opportunity Home San Antonio

Opportunity Home offers a limited amount of Emergency Housing Vouchers for families who need immediate assistance because they are experiencing homelessness or domestic violence and are referred by the South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless (SARAH).
 
 

Texas Rent Relief

Helping renters who are behind on rent or utility bills. The Texas Rent Relief Program has helped over 300,000 Texans.

COVID-19 has affected Texans across the state. We’ve provided over $2B in emergency funds to help Texas renters pay rent and utility bills (including past due rent and utilities).

Housing Assistance Program  (HAP)

The Housing Assistance Program (HAP)* provides financial assistance to renters experiencing emergency hardships from COVID-19 and to keep families in their homes. To help with emergency housing needs, HAP has two components: rental assistance and relocation assistance for qualified households facing housing instability.

*based on the Risk Mitigation Fund Policy adopted by City Council in 2019

RENTAL ASSISTANCE UPDATE: The City of San Antonio will accept applications for the Housing Assistance Program from eligible applicants from Feb. 1-16 who owe backpay in rent. The application is free, and there is no charge to apply.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA)

Offers legal aid services to households with low incomes who are experiencing eviction or other housing issues that threaten their housing status.

St. Mary’s University School of Law Center for Legal and Social Justice

Through their clinical work, students at St. Mary’s provide significant service to the community by augmenting the legal resources available to serve the people in San Antonio and South Texas.
