Rita Sandoval

Chief Operating Officer    

Rita Sandoval has 29 years of successful programming experience at the local and national level.  During her tenure at a premier local nonprofit organization in San Antonio, she created and implemented several new programs and initiatives in the areas of parenting, early childhood, family engagement, health, nutrition, financial literacy, and job readiness.  At the national level, Rita provided oversight of the monitoring, training, evaluation, and curriculum departments while taking part in roundtable discussions and Think Tanks in DC, Colorado, and California in the areas of poverty, early childhood education, and immigration. Rita began her nonprofit journey as a Home Visitor and has spent more than 25 years teaching, mentoring and empowering parents and staff.

As SA Hope Center’s Operating Officer, Rita is responsible for all the daily operations to include scaling the organization and developing a performance culture of diverse, talented, high performing team members.

Rita has a Bachelor of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University, a Master of Public Administration from Webster University, and a Nonprofit Leadership and Management Certification from University of Texas at San Antonio.  In her spare time, Rita enjoys gardening with her husband, shopping alone, and traveling with her husband and daughter.
