In 2014, she attended Our Lady of the Lake University until graduating with a Bachelors degree in Social Work in 2016.  Ruby felt it wasn’t enough and decided to continue to pursue her education with a one-year Master of Social Work program at Our Lady of the Lake University and graduated in 2018.  Along the way, she was able to receive numerous certifications, for example certifications in Intervention and Prevention to Family Violence, Nurturing Parenting, Anger Management, Finance, Raising Highly Capable Kids, and Making Healthy Informed Choices about Sex.

Ruby chose to become a social worker at SA Hope Center because she is able to advocate and empathize with each client that walks through our doors. She strives to be able to inspire them with hope while planting seeds in them to believe that anything is possible.  Although, she has had her fair share of experiences in life, she chooses to believe, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

"SA Hope Center is a place where we listen to the client, meet them where they are at and plant our seeds.  As we see them grow, we also see them succeed. As Jeremiah 29:11 quotes, "For I know the plans I have for you, " declared the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
